ALL NEWSUniversity of Westminster Students return to QHT Chiswick Sports facilities
Following on from the enforced Covid lockdown and the long summer break, University of Westminster students have returned at the start of the 2020 -2021 accademic year with an increased enthuasim for “outside sports”. The QHMG is being used to capacity by the students – hockey, football, tennis, netball, rugby, to name but a few. University rowing is also taking place at the Quintin Boat Club and has seen an increase in participation.
Chris Rolfe – Student Union Sports Co-ordinator says
“Lock-down proved a busy period for the SU, actively maintaining contact with the students has created many opportunities for creative thinking. – whilst we have developed many successful on-line programmes to engage with students, it is great to be out and to have Sports facilities that are for use principally by the University – It is really fantastic that we have managed to accommodate so many sports in one place and that there is a visible surge in uptake.”
